Family Services

Parent Aide and In Home Family Support Services
Families receive individualized support and instruction in parenting skills, life management, and home management through a variety of techniques, including our Parenting & Resource Education Program© (P.R.E.P.©). These services are available on a private-pay basis or when referred through your Department of Economic Security (DES) case manager.  Family Support Specialists assist families through:

  • Family Advocacy: Supporting families’ growth and development of parenting skills.
  • Promoting Safe and Stable Families: Strengthening and stabilizing families through a continuum of services.
  • Parent Education: Enhancing the ability of parents to create stable and nurturing environments which promote safety for all family members and healthy child development.
  • Visitation Services: Supporting family connections by providing visitation services to families working toward reunification.
  • Home Based Services: Parenting, life and home management skills offered in the privacy of the family’s home.

The Parenting & Resource Education Program© (P.R.E.P.©) is AmeriPsych’s very own comprehensive interactive education and training program designed to teach and enhance the development of parenting skills, the knowledge and use of community resources and the development of personal and family life management skills.

Supportive Intervention and Guidance Counseling
AmeriPsych provides specialized employment-related services to individuals with a physical or mental disability at no cost. Clients receive short-term cognitive behavioral/empowerment therapy and skills training.

Intensive Case Management
AmeriPsych collaborates with ArborJobs to provide Intensive Case Management Services. Arbor refers customers who will benefit from more than basic job skills training. Our extensively trained case managers provide behavioral health referrals, and substance abuse and domestic violence assessments for referred customers. Once the customers’ needs are established, staff then support them in locating and securing community services to address their unique needs so they may then successfully focus on job skills training.
